how long can I rent a rack for?

All rentals are booked in advance, and you can book for as many weeks as you like! Most renters would book for either 1 or 2 weeks.

do you take a percentage of sales or commission?

No! We believe our customers should take all of their profits home with them. Tweedehands only takes the rental payment.

does Tweedehands set the prices?

No, the individual rack renter sets the price for each of their own items.

can customers try on my items?

Yes, we have two change rooms in store for customers to try on items.

what can I sell on my rack?

You can sell both brand new and preloved clothing items and accessories. This includes shoes, bags, clutches, hats, belts, scarves, sunglasses, watches, and other jewellery items. There is also a ‘book chair’ for renters to sell books! Please ensure that all items are in good condition, fit for sale - only sell items that you would gift to a friend.

can I refill my rack as items sell?

Yes, you are welcome to refill your rack with more items as you receive sales. You can come in store any time during our business hours to refill.

can I pay for my rack rental out of my profits?

No, we require full payment up front at the time of booking your rack rental. Payment can be made either in store, over the phone or via bank transfer, if booking via email.

do I need to supply the hangers?

No, we supply all the coat and pant hangers you will require. We even have children’s hangers available, however there is only a limited quantity, so please advise us if you are planning on selling children’s clothing.

is rack set up only on weekends?

No, you can book your rental to start on any day during the week or weekend, except for Monday and Tuesday as we are closed for business (unless stated otherwise). Racks are set up by the renter on the first booked day of their rental.

do I need to be in store to sell my items?

No, you definitely do not need to be present at the shop to sell your items. Unlike a one-day market event, or selling your preloved goods on an online platform, you simply price and tag your items, bring them in store to set up your rack, and leave the rest to us.

are the price tags kept after a purchase is made?

Yes, we keep all price tags after each purchase is made. The price tags will be given back to the renter after their rack rental is finished, as a record of what was sold.

do you have EFTPOS facilities in store?

Yes, you can pay in store by card or with cash. Please note there is a 1.9% surcharge on all EFTPOS transactions.
